In addition to staff training, NWI services include consulting support for quality system initiatives and delivery of both employer and job seeker resources. Consulting services include gap analysis of center operations/customer service procedures, value stream mapping of work processes, development of standard operating procedures (SOPs), creation of survey instruments to measure internal and customer satisfaction, and delivery of quality-related training to all levels of the workforce organization. Employer and job seeker resources include a variety of web-based courses for HR professionals and job seeker tools related to topics such as networking, resume writing, and interviewing skills.
Because NWI is a fully-owned subsidiary of LDI, it is certified as a woman-owned business by the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) and meets the criteria for certification established by the Authorized Provider Commission of the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET). This allows NWI to award continuing education units (CEUs) for successful completion of training.
In 2019, we became the training provider for the first DOL-approved Workforce Professional Apprenticeship program in the country. Sponsored by Workforce Solutions of Central Texas, the program allows staff to earn a Journeyman Workforce Professional credential by completing a combination of on-the-job training and related instruction over a two-year period of time.
